In September of 2007, the Multicultural Task Force of the National Aphasia Association was formed in order to enhance the understanding and intervention of aphasia and its consequences in different linguistic and sociocultural environments.
Aphasia therapy is all about building relationships. As much fun as it is to dig into the treatment research or geek out over the psycholinguistics and neurology behind what is going on, the most important piece in therapy is to build a genuine connection with the person right in front of you.
